Victorian

Grafin von Heinrichshorst

Grafin Von Heinrichshorst

This ball gown is a beautiful example of a gown from the Crinoline period of the Victorian era. The skirt is wide and has a small train, which worn over een elliptical hoopskirt accentuates this silhouette. The skirt is embellished with box pleated ruffles and bows.

The bodice is worn over a corset and has boning in the interlining and is lined with cotton. The bodice is off-shoulder and has a pleated bertha (embellishment at the neckline) with a bow. The puff sleeves have a tulle interlinning and 2 big cap sleeves. The bodice has a v-front and back and is laced with a ribbon at the back, a modesty panel is placed so you donot see your underpinnings.

This day outfit is from the Early Bustle period of the Victorian era. The outfit consists of a bodice with a square neckline, three quarter sleeves and a  front button closure. The back has a pleated peplum that lice nicely over het bustle.

The skirt has a loose apron&bustle with pulled up sides and a tasle embellishment. The skirt has a scalloped hemline and has pleats at the back so it falls over a bustle hoopskirt with pettiecoats.

The Late Bustle period is known for it's big bustles and that is evident with this outfit. The outfit consists of a bodice and skirt with train, the last picture shows the same skirt but with an evening bodice.

The jacket/bodice has a v-neck, false waistcoat front with a front button closure. The back has 3 part peplum with a bow. Next to a lace at the collar, the bodice has cuffs with lace as well (antique from the Victorian period in this case).

The skirt has an attached apron&bustle with boxpleated at the hemline,  a double apron and bows at the side and 1 big bow at the gathering of the bustle. This outfit offers endless uppertunities for embellishments.

The evening bodice has a v-front and v-neck with a laced up closure at the back. The front and neckline is embellished with lace and a bow with a loose brooche (not included). I also made an evening bag, which can be ordered for 35,00 euros to match your outfit (brooche not included).
